Marketing is finding an effective way to communicate the benefits of your product or service.  As an entrepreneur you must make it as easy as possible for people to try and experience it and benefit from it.  The key is motivate people to feel that what you offer they need today and are willing to buy today.  They must have a desire to buy what you sell because they envision it will make their life better.  How do you do this with your customers?  How do you connect with them for your business internet money online opportunity?

With the recent downturn we all must do a better job at persuading our customers that what we offer will bring value added to their life.  Here are five steps to help do this:

(1)    ”Convince your customers that your product is valuable” – write powerful articles and create powerful web pages.  Your articles need to be clear and concise.  Your web pages exciting and informative.  In Affiliate Marketing you must clearly define what you are selling, demonstrate  why it is unique and prove it is better than the competition.

(2)    ”Increased value from your product” – explain that by buying your product, your customers will get benefits and value that will improve their life.

(3)    ”Ensure your customers get value for your product” – be a wonderful resource and tell your customers you are there for them.  You will stand by your product and service to ensure they will receive what they expected.

(4)    ”Be powerful and passionate about your product or service” –be the most knowledgeable person on the planet about your product or service.  This will require constant study and research to make you always smarter about what you are providing and as a result help you to improve your product and make it the best.

(5)    “Understand the new paradigm of selling” – the new paradigm of selling is being able to market your product in an environment that is changing at such a rapid pace and on multiple fronts you must be flexible and adjust just as quickly.  This new paradigm reemphasizes that the only guarantee in life is that there are no guarantees.

Marketing is more of an art than a science.  We have in recent times tried to emphasize the science with research using demographics, surveys, data analysis, etc.  These are all valuable resources to help us understand our market but at the end of the day, the marketing decisions you make will be based upon your best evaluation of all the information and then a gut feel.  That will be the art of it and your success will be making wise decisions and being flexible enough to adjust as necessary to make your Affiliate Marketing experience successful.

Recently I heard an interesting story about a young man who had been selected to sing the national anthem at a baseball game.  He was thrilled at the opportunity and thought of what a great chance it was for him to have his moment of fame in front of a huge audience.

He practiced his heart out and when the time came for him he sang his flawlessly and did what he thought was an outstanding performance.  What had him dismayed was the crowd wasn’t looking at him during the song but down the left field line.  He wondered what were they looking at and realized it was the American flag.  At that moment he realized the whole opportunity wasn’t about him or his song but about the flag, his country and America’s greatest pastime.  He learned a valuable lesson that day that we, as affiliate and article marketers need to remember every day, it’s not about us but our customer.

The profession of marketing requires that we connect with our customers.  We need to learn what they want and ingeniously figure out a way to give it to them.  It isn’t about what we want but what they want.  Until we learn this valuable lesson, we will struggle and work harder and harder and miss the target.  To hit the target requires learning what is the customer is looking for.  Hitting the bulls eye of the target is providing the customer what they want and then their getting it from you.
